Virginia session 2 is going well. I was planning on heading home for the weekend, but TROFAST has developed some issues. When I get into the 45-55 mile range, right as it is about to shift, the RPMs bottom out and I hear this chugging sound akin to chitty-chitty bang bang. I can't describe things near as well as my acquaintance, Petra, but that is the best I can come up with. Anyways, one of the counselors and one of the youth have rashes that are in rather inconvenient places. Luckily, they aren't related. One is left over from scout camp where he touched poison ivy and then we all know what happens when you don't wash your hands before you use the facilities... The other seems to have contracted ringworm in a similar location. So now we deal with making sure that it isn't spreading, and that these people get treated. I must admit, I am glad to have a General Practitioner as our Session Director, because in addition to being real down to earth and not all crazy the gospel should always be easy and make you happy... he has helped us deal with what these rashes are, and what to do for them. Not many counselors can say that they have shown their supervisors well, never mind.
So after that really awkward encounter times two, we had a great dance on Tuesday, a good games night, and an alright pizza night. Some groups did nothing but watch TV, but most spent time bowling with tennis balls and soda cans in the hallways, that was one of the best unification activities I have seen, actually. Anyways... That's the week for now.
