So to begin the day, it was my morning off, so I got to sleep in a little bit. After moving downstairs to the couch, which for some reason is more comfortable than my bed, I finally rolled out of bed around 11. After checking my email, I clicked on one of the RSS feeds I usually check daily. Today in history. Yeah, that was pretty stupid of me, what else is there going to be on July 4th? Yup, it was on the Declaration of Independence, although I learned that it wasn't really signed completely until August 2nd, and only 12 colonies voted to accept it on the 4th, with the actual draft that was approved having been finished two days earlier on the 2nd. New York didn't vote to accept it until July 19th. Hmmm. I guess it is the thought that counts.
One of my other favorites to look up on my RSS feeds are XKCD, which aside from the occasional profanity is a very good example of my sense of humor. It is like Calvin and Hobbes, but for a more mature audience. The feed is at feed://www.xckd.com/rss.xml and the archives can be located at . My favorites as of late are this, this, and this just to name a few. While the heart picture isn't appropriate for this holiday, it was the best holiday themed one I could find, although it makes me chuckle a lot.
EFY is going fine, So I won't go into to many details. Have a great day!
